This article covers how to access Trip Replay in the HeyPolo Android or iOS app, what information it shows, and how to save a trip for later.
Here’s what you need
- Set Location Services to "Always" or "Precise" during the original trip, since replay accuracy depends on the location data collected while driving.
Here's how to use it
- Open the "Driving" tab in your HeyPolo app.
- Then tap your profile and scroll down to see all completed trips.
- Tap on any trip to open its details.
- Once the trip is finished, you can select whether you were a driver or passenger.
- Alternatively, select your desired group, click a member, and view their trips across all transportation modes.
- Additionally, tap "Replay" to watch the route play back, including start and end points, timing, and any flagged events along the way (like a hard brake or speeding segment).
- Use the playback controls to pause, rewind, or jump to a specific flagged moment in the trip.
Additional tips
- Trip history is generally kept for a limited time within the app - if you want to keep a permanent record of a specific trip, take a screenshot of the replay screen, since this is the most reliable way to preserve driving history beyond the in-app retention window.
- Trip Replay is visible only to people if you have made your visibility more precise.
- If a trip looks inaccurate (for example, a route that doesn't match what actually happened), it's usually due to a temporarily weak GPS or cellular signal during that drive.
