What is the HeyPolo Group Driving Score?

Sometimes safety is a shared goal - whether you're supporting a new teen driver or simply want your household to look out for one another. The Group Driving Score gives your circle an aggregated view of driving trends across members who've opted in, designed to spark supportive conversations rather than tattle-tailing. Here's how it works.

Here’s what you need

  • Turn on your visibility to be able to showcase your trips to the Group.
  • At least one member with completed, detected trips for the score to generate.

Here’s where to find and use it

  1. Open your Group and go to the "Driving" section.
  2. Then, you will see the accumulated driving score for members who have shared their driving visibility:

  3. Review the breakdown by category (harsh braking, rapid acceleration, speeding, distracted, harsh cornering) to see overall group trends.
  4. Tap into an individual's contribution, only if that member has enabled their visibility, to see more details.

Additional tips

  • Members have to enable their visibility to share their trips with other members in the Group.
  • Use the Group Score to celebrate progress or check in with care, not to single anyone out.
  • Group trends are most useful when viewed over weeks or months, since a single trip can skew a short-term view.
  • The group driving score is calculated from two transportation modes: driving and motorcycling/motorbiking.
