Your HeyPolo Personal Driving Score gives you a simple, private snapshot of your recent driving habits - built from real trip data. It helps you notice patterns and improve, and you always choose whether to share it. This article explains how we calculate the score and where to find it.
Here’s what you need
- At least one completed, detected trip, since we calculate the score from real driving data.
- Set Location Services to "Always" or "Precise" for accurate trip detection.
Here’s how to use it
- Open the "Driving" tab in your HeyPolo app.
- Tap your name (or someone in the group) to view the current Personal Driving Score.
Here’s what you can know
The score reflects recent trips and factors in behaviors such as:
- Hard braking frequency.
- Rapid acceleration frequency.
- Speeding events.
- Phone use while driving.
- Harsh cornering.
You can tap into any category to see which trips contributed to your score and why. Your score updates automatically as new trips are completed and detected.
Additional tips
- Your Personal Score is visible to everyone in your group.
- Scores are most meaningful as a trend over time, not a single number from one trip.
- Improving your score isn't about perfection - small, gradual habit changes like braking earlier or reducing phone use behind the wheel make the biggest difference and overall make you a safer driver.
